Position title: Skilled Welder
Summary of position: We are looking for welders to work on fabrication, maintenance, and installation of welding projects. Other duties may include maintenance of welding equipment in shop facility.
Description of Duties:
- Use gas torch for cutting heavy metal, pipes, etc..
- Flux Core, MIG, SMAW, aluminum knowledge.
- Work with a variety of materials.
- Measure for dimensional requirements, squareness, flatness, etc …
- Usage of appropriate tools such as: squares, height gauge, surface plate inspection and tape measures.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Apply appropriate finishing: gridding, sanding, deburring and functional.
- Maintain tolls and equipment.
- Working hours are 7am to 4pm (Longer days might be required if we are busy).
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years welding experience.
- General math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Knowledge of various welding and fabrication processes, tools and equipment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift 50-70 pounds as needed.
- Ability to maintain and stay on schedule.
